Police suspect shots fired before Vejle traffic accident last week

Police in Vejle, Denmark, are investigating a traffic accident that occurred late on the evening of July 22. Evidence found at the scene suggests that a person on a two-wheeled electric vehicle may have fired shots toward the car involved in the accident before fleeing on foot. No one was hit by the gunfire.

The accident involved a 22-year-old man who crashed into a tree on Moldevej. Police are treating the incident as potentially linked to a separate shooting on July 14, where three shots were fired at a parked car. The suspect in the July 22 incident was riding a two-wheeled electric vehicle but escaped on foot.

Authorities are appealing for public assistance, seeking witnesses who observed suspicious behavior, vehicles, or individuals in the vicinity of Moldevej and Nørremark Center between 10:45 PM and 11:30 PM on July 22. They are particularly interested in surveillance or dashcam footage that could help identify the rider of the two-wheeled vehicle. Information can be reported to the police at 1-1-4.
