Polish patients can now book specialist appointments online via IKP

Patients in Poland can now book appointments with several new specialists online via the Internet Patient Account (IKP) and the mojeIKP mobile application. This expansion of the central e-registration system, which began in August, includes specialists such as angiologists, infectious disease doctors, endocrinologists, and pulmonologists.

By 2027, the goal is to offer online booking for up to 40 specialists through the app. For follow-up appointments, patients will still need to book directly with the medical facility. Those who prefer not to use digital services can continue to register by phone or in person.

Medical facilities were given a six-month grace period to integrate their systems with the central e-registration. Consequently, some appointments may still be handled through traditional methods during this transition. The mojeIKP app, launched in May 2021, also provides notifications for appointments, e-prescriptions, and referrals, and is available on Google Play and the App Store.
