Polish Swimmer Completes Historic 160km Baltic Sea Crossing in 55 Hours, Raising Funds for Child Cancer Patient

Polish swimmer Bartłomiej Kupraszewski has achieved a historic feat by swimming 160 kilometers across the Baltic Sea, completing the challenging journey in 55 hours without any sleep. This remarkable endurance swim is the first of its kind ever recorded.

The extraordinary effort was undertaken as a fundraising initiative to support a child undergoing cancer treatment. Kupraszewski's swim successfully raised a significant sum, generating approximately 268 million South Korean Won, which translates to roughly $215,000 USD.

The swim began with the intention of raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer. Kupraszewski's dedication and physical prowess allowed him to push through the immense challenge of swimming continuously for over two days in the open sea, demonstrating incredible mental and physical fortitude.

His achievement not only sets a new benchmark in long-distance swimming but also highlights the power of sport in mobilizing support for critical causes. The funds raised will provide much-needed assistance to the child battling cancer and their family.
