Poodles Crowned World's Most Photographed Dog Breed by AI Analysis

Poodles have once again claimed the title of the world's most photographed dog breed, according to a recent analysis by photobook company Popsa. This marks the second time the breed has topped the list, suggesting their enduring appeal in front of the camera.

The study, which utilized artificial intelligence, compared official breed standards with millions of customer photos submitted in 2024 and 2025. The AI aimed to identify which breeds appeared most frequently in user-submitted images. Following the poodle, retriever breeds, hounds, schnauzers, spaniels, terriers, German shepherds, beagles, Bichon Frises, and setters rounded out the top ten.

Interestingly, bulldogs, known for their distinctive appearance and generally good-natured character, were notably absent from this year's top 10. Their robust build, broad skulls, and amiable temperament were not enough to keep them among the most frequently photographed breeds.

The methodology, relying on AI rather than a panel of canine experts, highlights a modern approach to data analysis in understanding popular trends. The findings also draw a parallel to the fashion world, where publications like Vogue feature canine companions in their "Dogue" specials, showcasing celebrity pets like Bad Bunny's beagle Sansa and Millie Bobby Brown's poodle, Winnie the Poohdle.
