Popovienė to meet Polish Education Minister in Warsaw

Lithuanian Minister of Education, Science, and Sport, R. Popovienė, is scheduled to meet with the Polish Minister of Education in Warsaw. The visit aims to discuss key educational matters affecting both countries' minority communities.

During the visit, Popovienė will also attend the inaugural meeting of a joint working group focused on the education of the Polish ethnic minority in Lithuania and Lithuanian schools operating in Poland. This collaboration is expected to foster dialogue and address the specific needs and challenges faced by these educational institutions.

The Ministry of Education, Science, and Sport emphasized that the newly established working group for the education of the Polish ethnic minority in Poland will convene for the first time during this visit. Discussions are anticipated to cover current educational realities for the Polish minority in Lithuania and the situation of Lithuanian schools within Poland.
