Popular embankment in Almaty to be temporarily closed for walks

A popular embankment in Almaty, Kazakhstan, will be temporarily closed to the public for 20 days as it undergoes essential renovation work. Access will be restricted starting on the eastern side, from settling basin No. 1 to Al-Farabi Avenue.

During this period, specialists will focus on restoring the irrigation system, repairing sidewalks, and partially replacing curbs. The renovation also includes replanting shrubs and lawn areas, as well as conducting sanitary pruning of trees to maintain their health and appearance.

Following the initial phase, restrictions will be implemented in stages on other sections of the embankment, extending up to Abay Avenue. The city authorities are asking residents and visitors to be aware of these temporary closures.

Almaty residents are advised to take the restrictions into account, adhere to temporary road signs, and plan their routes in advance to avoid inconvenience during the renovation period.
