Popular Talk Show 'Utisak nedelje' Moves to N1 Television

The iconic Serbian talk show "Utisak nedelje" (Impression of the Week), hosted by Olja Bećković, is set to move to N1 television starting September 20. The program will retain its familiar format and broadcast time of 8:30 PM, continuing its tradition of discussing current socio-political issues with guests.

Bećković, speaking as the author of the show produced by "PG Mreža," confirmed her agreement to broadcast on N1, a "sister" television channel of Nova. She emphasized that the independent production "PG Mreža" maintains editorial independence, with contracts ensuring no influence from the broadcaster on content, topic selection, or guest choices. Bećković drew a personal analogy, stating she would readily move to a twin sister's house, trusting the existing bond and understanding of needs. She expressed hope that N1's management understands her position and the reasons for their invitation.

N1 News Director Branislav Šovljanski welcomed the move, calling N1 the natural home for "Utisak nedelje." He described the show as a "cult" program and N1 as the most recognized news brand in the region. Šovljanski anticipates that N1's audience will gain access to one of the most-watched informative TV formats, allowing them to vote for their "impression of the week." He believes this addition will make N1's upcoming season the most diverse since its inception, with more new offerings planned for the programming schedule.

"Utisak nedelje" has been a staple in Serbian television for decades, known for its in-depth discussions and audience engagement. The transition to N1, a prominent regional news channel, signals a significant shift for both the show and the network. Viewers will continue to participate by voting for their impressions, a key element of the show's interactive nature. The move is expected to strengthen N1's position in the regional media landscape.
