Experts warn of caution due to its potent symbolism.

Traditionally, the three dots represent the Spanish phrase "mi vida loca," or "my crazy life." This is not merely a philosophical statement about a tumultuous past but a direct declaration of affiliation with the criminal world, signifying a conscious choice of a dangerous path. While not tied to a specific gang like the crown with five points for the Latin Kings, this tattoo serves as a universal emblem of an outlaw lifestyle, recognized within underground circles globally.

Its meaning is strongly linked to Hispanic and Chicano gang culture in the United States and Spain. In Russia, it signifies loyalty to the "thieves' law," an unwritten code among high-ranking criminals. Historically in France, it represented resistance, associated with anarchists and the working class, carrying the message "Mort aux vaches" (Death to the cops).

The greatest danger lies in its contemporary popularity. Individuals getting the tattoo solely for aesthetic reasons, ignorant of its history, may inadvertently send a message they cannot control.
