Portland’s Celene Hall crowned Miss Universe Jamaica

Portland native Celene Hall has been crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2026, winning the title at a coronation show held Sunday at the AC Hotel in New Kingston.

The 25-year-old executive manager at ASAP Express Limited in Port Antonio, Hall previously secured the Miss Universe Portland title. She stood out as the sole parish winner to advance into the final six contestants.

"I don’t believe I can find a word to describe how I am feeling right now," Hall told Observer Online shortly after the event. "I am grateful, thankful and that’s the biggest feeling that fills my heart the most right now. The journey was quite hectic but it was well worth it. I never underestimate the power of this platform."

Hall's victory was met with enthusiastic support from her family and a contingent of fans who traveled from Portland. Her parents, Sonia and Victor Hall, shared that Celene had shown an aptitude for modeling and competitions from a young age. "From she was a young child, Celene has been showing signs of modeling and entering competitions," Sonia Hall recalled.

During the competition, Hall secured five sectional prizes, including the Essence of Style Award, Best in Swimwear, Best in Evening Gown, Most Aware, and the Altruism Award. Medical doctor Tianna McDaniel was named first runner-up, and Kadejah Anderson took third place.
