Portugal arrives in the United States, led by Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernardo Silva

The Portuguese national football team has arrived in the United States for the 2026 World Cup, establishing their base camp in Palm Beach, Florida. Key players Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernardo Silva were among the first to disembark as the squad landed at Palm Beach International Airport.

The team will be residing at the exclusive Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, a five-star oceanfront property offering significant privacy. This location places them in close proximity to several high-profile residents, including former U.S. President Donald Trump, whose official residence, Mar-a-Lago, is just six kilometers away.

Portugal's training sessions will take place at customized facilities in Palm Beach Gardens. Their World Cup journey begins four days after their arrival, with their opening match scheduled against the Democratic Republic of Congo in Houston, Texas.

Group K also includes Colombia and Uzbekistan. Portugal will face Uzbekistan in their second group stage match, also in Houston, before concluding the first round against Colombia in Miami, a city near their Florida base. Portugal was among the final teams to travel to North America for the tournament, having recently secured a 2-1 victory over Nigeria in their final preparation match.
