Powell Homes Launches ROME Initiative With Discounts of Up to 10% on Property

Powell Homes and Shelters is offering property buyers discounts of up to 10% under a new initiative designed to make land ownership more accessible across Nigeria.

The company launched its Real Estate Ownership Made Easy program, known as ROME, at the International Conference Centre in Enugu. More than 1,200 people attended the event, including investors, realtors and other property-sector participants.

Managing Director Chibuikem Onyekachi Emmanuel said the company wants willing clients to become landowners. The initiative covers plots at Glory Layout, one of the company’s newest estates in Enugu. Powell Homes currently sells the plots for ₦1.5 million and offers a payment plan lasting up to one year.

Customers who pay in full receive a 10% discount. Those who pay by installments receive a 5% discount over the one-year period. Emmanuel said the discounts are separate from the usual commissions paid to agents, realtors and staff who attract customers. The incentives will apply as long as payments fall within the initiative’s stated period, which ends on September 30, 2026, with no extension currently planned.

Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo, the company’s brand ambassador, endorsed the initiative and urged potential buyers to use the time-limited offer. She said her confidence in the company rests on what she described as its integrity, adding that she would leave if the company began to act improperly.
