Powered by perseverance - Nursing student who completed assignments on a mobile phone receives laptop

For more than two years, Northern Caribbean University nursing student Anastacia Williams completed university assignments on an Android phone.

She used the device to prepare PowerPoint presentations, work on Excel documents and type lengthy academic papers. When the phone began falling apart, Williams held the screen together with an elastic band and continued working.

Her persistence ultimately led to her receiving a laptop, replacing the device she had relied on throughout her studies.
