Powerful Heatwave to Grip Poland, Temperatures to Reach 37°C

Poland is bracing for a significant heatwave, with forecasters predicting temperatures to soar as high as 37 degrees Celsius by Friday. This intense heat is expected to arrive after a brief period of moderate temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The shift in weather is attributed to a high-pressure system moving in from Western and Central Europe. This system will dominate the weather over Poland, bringing what is described as "African heat." Meanwhile, Eastern Europe will be influenced by a low-pressure system.

Tuesday will see moderate to heavy cloud cover with a chance of scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in the north and northeast, and in the Carpathian Mountains. Maximum temperatures will range from 18 to 23 degrees Celsius, reaching up to 25 degrees Celsius in the southwest. Winds will be light to moderate, becoming gusty at times, and stronger along the coast.

Wednesday is expected to bring slightly warmer temperatures, ranging from 20-22 degrees Celsius in the northeast to 26 degrees Celsius in the center and up to 28-29 degrees Celsius in the southwest. Cloud cover will be light to moderate across most of the country, with a possibility of rain in the northeast.

By Thursday, the weather is forecast to be clear with maximum temperatures between 27 and 30 degrees Celsius, marking the beginning of the intense heatwave.
