Prabowo appoints new nutrition agency heads, labor advisor

President Prabowo Subianto has officially appointed four new government officials at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. The appointments include the new leadership for the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and a special advisor focused on labor issues. Nanik Sudaryati Deyang now heads the BGN, with Trenggono and Agustina Arumsari serving as deputy heads. They step into roles previously held by officials who were dismissed and are now facing corruption charges. The BGN is responsible for implementing the government's free nutritious meal program. The new leadership is expected to ensure the program's continuity and integrity. In a separate appointment, President Prabowo named Said Iqbal, who also leads the Indonesian Confederation of Trade Unions (KSPI), as his Special Advisor for Labor Affairs and Worker Welfare. This appointment signals a focus on labor relations and worker welfare within the administration. The oath-taking ceremony was presided over by President Prabowo, with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and several other high-ranking officials in attendance, including ministers and heads of national security agencies.
