Prabowo Officially Removes Aceh Regional Secretary M. Nasir

President Prabowo Subianto has officially dismissed M. Nasir from his role as the Regional Secretary of Aceh Province. This decision is formalized through Presidential Decree No. 95/TPA of 2026, which was signed in Jakarta on August 21, 2026. The decree was subsequently communicated to the Governor of Aceh via a letter from the Secretariat of Cabinet Support, dated August 22, 2026.

The decree states, "Respectfully dismiss Mr. M. Nasir, Pembina Utama Muda (IV/c), from his position as Regional Secretary of Aceh Province effective from his appointment to a new position, with gratitude for his service and contributions during his tenure."

The Aceh government has been instructed to promptly implement the presidential decree. A letter accompanying the decree requests the Governor to inform M. Nasir of the decision and to deliver the official copy to him. M. Nasir had been serving as the Regional Secretary of Aceh since August 15, 2025, having been appointed by the Governor of Aceh, Muzakir Manaf, also known as Mualem.

Nurlis Effendi, the spokesperson for the Aceh Provincial Government, confirmed the information and stated that he had spoken directly with Governor Mualem. Nurlis indicated that a replacement for M. Nasir would be announced shortly. He explained that the change was intended as a "refreshment" within the Aceh Provincial Government, emphasizing that M. Nasir had performed his duties well and that the Governor expressed his thanks for his assistance.
