Prabowo's Message to Young Officers: Do Not Be Tempted by Corruption

President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia has issued a stern warning to newly commissioned military and police officers, urging them to uphold their integrity and resist the allure of corruption. Speaking at the Prasetya Perwira (Praspa) ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, Prabowo stressed that integrity is paramount to an officer's honor.

"Do not ever misuse your position, do not ever be tempted by corruption, embezzlement," Prabowo stated, emphasizing the vital role of the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) and Polri (Indonesian National Police) for the nation. He reminded the young officers to serve the public professionally and with dedication.

"Never compromise with drugs, gambling, or other legal violations. Once you betray the people, you lose your honor," he declared. The ceremony marked the commissioning of 1,177 graduates from the military and police academies into their respective officer ranks.

Of the total graduates, 512 were from the Military Academy, 229 from the Naval Academy, 154 from the Air Force Academy, and 282 from the Police Academy. President Prabowo also presented the Adhi Makayasa award, recognizing the best graduates from each academy. The recipients were Calvin Tidar Sakti (Military Academy), Muhammad Rizqi Wira Utama Baihaqi Putra (Naval Academy), Yehezkiel Bonaventura Yudaniarman (Air Force Academy), and Harindra Arsandho Tegarbaja (Police Academy).
