Prabowo tells students: Don't badmouth others

President Prabowo Subianto visited Sekolah Rakyat Menengah Pertama (SRMP) 17 Tabanan in Bali, urging students to value brotherhood and mutual respect. He stated that respecting each other and living harmoniously are crucial foundations for success.

"Never badmouth others, never hate others. Live well, be harmonious. That is the key to success," Prabowo said during a live broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel. He reminded students that education and discipline are essential for a better life and that they are the hope for their families.

"You must lift your parents later, you are your parents' hope. Study, study, study well. Respect teachers, love parents. Always be harmonious with friends, always be kind to others, be polite," the former Minister of Defense advised. He also noted that economic hardship does not prevent success, citing many Indonesians who rose from poverty through perseverance and a positive outlook.

Prabowo encouraged students not to be disheartened by mockery, even from presidents. "Let alone you, I am often mocked, even the president is often mocked. It's okay, as long as your heart is firm, our heart is good," he said. He advised responding to insults with politeness and inner strength, stating, "The more you are insulted, the more steadfast you become, the braver, the more polite. Be insulted, be polite, yes. Don't be discouraged."
