Prabowo to Attend National Cooperatives Day Commemoration in Jakarta

President Prabowo Subianto is set to attend the peak event of the 79th National Cooperative Day in Jakarta on Sunday, July 12, 2026. The commemoration, held at the Indonesia Arena in the Gelora Bung Karno Complex, signifies the beginning of the village cooperative movement's operational phase.

Cooperative Minister Ferry Juliantono stated that Prabowo's presence underscores the government's dedication to fostering the cooperative movement as a cornerstone of national economic development. "On July 12, Insha Allah the President will be present to commemorate National Cooperative Day at GBK," Ferry confirmed on Friday, July 10, 2026, as reported by Antara.

The "Red-and-White Village Cooperative" project is a key government initiative, mandated by Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2025. This program aims to accelerate the establishment, development, and revitalization of 80,000 cooperatives across Indonesia. To date, approximately 30,000 Red-and-White Village Cooperatives have been established, with a target of 40,000 by year-end.
