Prabowo to Perform Eid al-Adha Prayer in France Amid State Visit

President Prabowo Subianto is set to observe the Eid al-Adha prayer on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, not in Indonesia, but in France. This marks his third visit to the country within the last five months. The President is currently on a state visit to France, a trip confirmed by Deputy Minister of State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro.

The President, you know, started a working visit abroad last night, to France, so of course, he will adjust because he will still be there on Wednesday.

Ardiantoro stated that the President's location for the prayer would align with his itinerary during the state visit. While he confirmed the President's presence in France on the day of Eid al-Adha, he declined to provide further details regarding the specifics of the visit. Ardiantoro indicated that the Foreign Minister is better positioned to elaborate on President Prabowo's agenda in France.

In a separate initiative for the Eid al-Adha period, President Prabowo is donating 1,098 sacrificial cows to communities throughout Indonesia. These donations are structured under two schemes: 598 cows are allocated to provincial and local governments, with 552 regions receiving at least one cow. An additional 46 regions will receive two cows due to the unavailability of cattle meeting the 800 kg to 1.3-ton weight requirement. The remaining 500 cows are designated for educational institutions, including Islamic boarding schools, and for community and religious leaders.
