Prachanda: Nepal faces worst national sovereignty crisis since Sugauli Treaty

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, widely known as 'Prachanda' and a coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party, has declared that Nepal is currently confronting its most significant crisis of national sovereignty since the Sugauli Treaty. He made these remarks while addressing an event focused on cooperation, unity, and reorganization within the communist movement.

Prachanda asserted that the current extraordinary crisis has arisen because Nepal has not adequately prioritized its national sovereignty, the concerns of oppressed communities, and the ongoing struggle against foreign interference. He stressed that unity and cooperation among communist forces are essential to effectively address the present situation.

He urged political parties to engage in serious collective self-assessment rather than assigning blame for past failures. Prachanda highlighted the inseparable link between national sovereignty, patriotic movements, and the communist movement. He also called upon representatives from various political parties present at the program to engage in reflection and discussion to identify a common path forward.
