Premios MexBest llegan por primera vez al Pacífico; Mazatlán será sede de la edición 2026

Mazatlán, the famed "Pearl of the Pacific," is set to host the prestigious MexBest Awards in 2026, marking the first time the event celebrating Mexico's finest in gastronomy, mixology, and hospitality will be held on the country's Pacific coast. The announcement underscores Mazatlán's rising prominence within Mexico's national tourism landscape.

That Mazatlán has been selected as the host for MexBest 2026 and that, for the first time, this event comes to the Mexican Pacific speaks to the relevance our destination has acquired within the national tourism industry.

Sinaloa state is poised for a strong showing at the awards, with 27 establishments from Mazatlán, Culiacán, and Los Mochis nominated in the Reader's Choice category. This significant number of nominations reflects the quality, diversity, and talent inherent in the state's gastronomic, hotel, and hospitality offerings.

Mireya Sosa Osuna, the Secretary of Tourism for Sinaloa, announced that Mazatlán will host the awards ceremony and related activities from October 5th to 7th, 2026. The event is expected to draw over 300 national and international industry leaders and representatives, providing a valuable platform to showcase Mazatlán's offerings and enhance its profile in the crucial tourism sector.

From October 5th to 7th, we will receive more than 300 representatives and leaders from gastronomy, hospitality, and hotels, in a great opportunity to show the quality of our offerings and project Mazatlán to one of the most important sectors of tourism in Mexico.

Nominees from Sinaloa span three main categories: restaurants, hotels, and bars. The restaurant category features a diverse list including Héctor Bistró, Zen by Zasshi, Bottega, El Farallón, and many others from across the state. In the hotel sector, nominees include Pueblo Bonito Vantage, Casa Lucila Curamoria Collection, and Dreams Estrella del Mar. The bar category includes BRVO and Vinitivo Wine Bar, both located in Mazatlán.
