Preparations Underway for Major Student Protest in Belgrade

Tables and benches are being set up inside the tents, and security is visible, including stewards in orange vests and members of the Intervention Unit police. Sound systems are being erected in the central part of the park, and new tents have been placed along its length. This setup mirrors the preparations made before a large protest on March 15, 2025, when the park was fenced off, restricting public access.

Students organizing the blockade are planning a gathering at Belgrade's Slavija Square. They have announced that academics, activists, and citizens from other parts of Serbia are expected to attend. In anticipation of the protest, the company Srbijavoz announced that railway traffic throughout the country has been suspended.
