President Claims Investment Growth, Reaching Rp 1,010 Trillion in H1 2026

President Prabowo Subianto asserted that Indonesia's investment continues to grow despite global economic uncertainty. He reported that in the first half of 2026, investment realization reached Rp 1,010 trillion, creating more than 1.4 million jobs.

During his state address at the MPR/DPR RI Plenary Session in Jakarta, Prabowo highlighted the government's efforts and public trust as factors contributing to this growth. He noted that the full year 2025 saw investment totaling Rp 1,931 trillion, which generated over 2.7 million employment opportunities. The president stressed that the ultimate goal of investment and economic growth is the welfare of the people.

"Growth and investment are not the end goal. The end goal is the welfare of the people," Prabowo stated. He further emphasized that every investment must have a tangible impact on society by creating jobs. "Every rupiah of investment must create jobs. Every policy must improve people's lives. That is the orientation of the Government I lead," he added.

Prabowo also pointed out that Indonesia's national economy remains resilient, growing amidst geopolitical conflicts, trade wars, supply chain disruptions, and global economic pressures. His remarks aim to reassure investors and the public about the country's economic stability and future prospects.
