President Japarov Opens New Housing Complex in Osh, Highlights State's Construction Push

President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan officially opened the "Asman Residence-1" housing complex in Osh, constructed by the State Mortgage Company. He also inaugurated a similar complex in the village of Jany-Aryk in the Osh region via online broadcast.

Addressing residents of Osh, the "southern capital," Japarov noted that housing issues were a primary concern raised during his recent meetings. He affirmed the state's commitment to providing accessible and quality housing for citizens in need. "One of the main tasks of the state is to provide citizens in need of housing with affordable and quality living conditions," Japarov stated, pointing to the "unprecedented pace" of housing construction across the republic. He highlighted that state mortgage programs are facilitating the construction of over 82,000 apartments in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Specifically in the Osh region, three housing complexes are under construction, totaling 2,044 apartments. Osh city itself is developing four complexes with 5,518 apartments, including "Asman Residence-1." This 12-story complex comprises eight blocks and offers 543 apartments, complete with underground parking, a playground, commercial spaces, and other amenities, designed in a modern architectural style with secured grounds.

Japarov expressed gratitude to the builders, engineers, and the State Mortgage Company staff for their diligent work, noting that "Asman Residence-1" was completed ahead of schedule. Simultaneously, five apartment buildings were opened online in Jany-Aryk village, with 225 apartments handed over to owners and an equal number planned for completion by year's end.

The president also stressed the importance of enhanced control and strict oversight of construction work. Responding to a recent issue with a leaking roof in Karakol, he urged residents of multi-story buildings to be mindful of their homes and avoid clogging sewage and water pipes. "We do not deny that there are shortcomings. It cannot be said that everything is perfect. Where there is work, certain flaws inevitably arise. However, over time, everything will be corrected and improved," he concluded, noting that the state had undertaken minimal construction independently for 30 years before actively building roads and residential buildings in the last five.
