President Lee Appoints New Senior Secretaries for Civil Affairs, Public Relations, and Social Affairs

President Lee Jae-myung has made key appointments to his presidential office, naming new Senior Secretaries for Civil Affairs, Public Relations, and Social Affairs. The appointments signal a reshuffling of key personnel within the administration.

Han Chan-sik, a former prosecutor general of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office, has been appointed as the new Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs. He succeeds Bong Wook in this role.

Seong Ki-hong, the former CEO and President of Yonhap News, has been appointed as the new Senior Secretary for Public Relations and Communications. Additionally, Kim Kyung-ja, a visiting professor at Woosuk University, has been appointed as the new Senior Secretary for Social Affairs.

Kang Hoon-sik, the Presidential Secretary for General Affairs, announced these appointments, along with five other personnel changes at the secretary level, at the Chunchugwan press briefing room.
