President Lee's approval rating drops 3.9%p to 55.2% [Realmeter]

President Lee Jae-myung's job performance rating has dipped to 55.2%, a 3.9 percentage point decrease from the prior week, according to a Realmeter poll. This marks the third consecutive week of declining approval for the president.

Concurrently, the rate of negative evaluations for his job performance has climbed to 41.0%. This is the first time since the fifth week of January that negative sentiment has exceeded 40%. The poll, conducted by Realmeter for Energy Economics Newspaper from June 1 to June 5, surveyed 2,013 eligible voters aged 18 and above.

The decline in positive ratings was widespread, with notable drops in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions (down 6.9 percentage points), as well as in Incheon and Gyeonggi provinces (down 4.7 percentage points). Significant decreases were also seen among men (down 4.2 percentage points) and women (down 3.5 percentage points), and particularly among those in their 30s (down 10.7 percentage points).
