Romanian President Nicușor Dan has offered a glimpse into his daily routine, revealing the contents and significance of the notebooks he is rarely seen without. In a recent interview, Dan described these notebooks as his constant companions, holding a mix of personal reflections and sensitive official information.

Dan explained that he uses around three notebooks annually, with his current one, initiated on March 18, 2026, nearing its end. He showed the interviewer his current notebook, noting that his children sometimes add their own drawings to its pages. A company from which he initially purchased a notebook was so impressed by his frequent use that they sent him an entire box as a gift to his office at Cotroceni Palace. "I saw you use them. A gift from us," the company reportedly told him.
