President Tinubu Receives Nigerian Bar Association President-Elect

President Bola Tinubu met with the President-elect of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, during a courtesy visit at the State House in Abuja.

Badejo-Okusanya, who recently secured victory in the NBA's national election with 9,891 votes, is poised to become the 33rd President of the association. Her ascension marks a significant moment as she is only the second woman to lead the NBA, following Chief Priscilla Kuye's tenure from 1991 to 1992. She is scheduled to succeed Afam Osigwe, SAN, at the upcoming NBA Annual General Conference in Enugu, where she will officially commence her two-year term.

Mrs. Badejo-Okusanya was accompanied by a delegation including the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Caleb University, Prof. Foluke Dada-Lawanson; the President of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, Mrs. Ezinwa Okoroafor; the FCT Lead of the NBA Women Forum, Princess Hadiza Afegbua; and the BBold Campaign Team Publicity Lead, Mrs. Ramlat Ridhwan. The meeting took place ahead of her formal assumption of office.
