President Tinubu to Visit Akwa Ibom in September to Inaugurate Governor Eno's Projects

President Bola Tinubu is slated for an official visit to Akwa Ibom State in September, a trip anticipated to generate significant excitement and expectations as he is scheduled to inaugurate numerous projects completed during Governor Umo Eno's three-year term.

The proposed two-day visit, details of which are still being finalized, marks Akwa Ibom as the 14th state President Tinubu will have visited since assuming office. Governor Eno, who has shown strong support for the President, extended the invitation, and there is hope for a personal visit given their cordial relationship.

Governor Eno's administration has overseen a substantial number of projects, including over 1,300 kilometers of roads, 40 bridges, model health centers and schools, 1,048 housing units, maritime infrastructure, a sports academy, an equipment leasing facility, and model farms. The phrase "finisher's anointing" has been used to describe Eno's approach to governance – completing projects regardless of who initiated them.

Among the key projects the President may inaugurate are the Arise Palm Resort, built on reclaimed land, the Nsit Atai – Okobo Road, and the new airport terminal building. Other significant projects nearing completion include the International Convention Centre and the Tropicana Hotel, both part of the Tropicana Complex in Uyo, which is envisioned as a major tourism and entertainment hub.
