Pride Caravan blocked in Loznica, held under heavy police guard in Sabac

A planned Pride Caravan event in Loznica, Serbia, was prevented from occurring in the town's central square on Tuesday due to a gathering of protesters opposing it. The local news portal PrPress reported that a significant police presence was deployed to separate the opposing groups.

Footage from Loznica showed scuffles and the use of pyrotechnics. By Tuesday evening, the situation had reportedly calmed, with police forces withdrawing from the city center. However, the event itself did not proceed as scheduled.

Meanwhile, in the city of Sabac, the Pride Caravan took place under a heavy police guard. Five participants from the “Da se zna1” association gathered at Sabac Victims Square, carrying the message, “There is room for all of us in Sabac,” according to Sabac Reporter.

An increased police presence was noted throughout central Sabac prior to the event. A large group of young men wearing black t-shirts and caps was observed in the pedestrian zone and surrounding streets. Police intervened to separate this group, and Sabac Reporter indicated that several individuals were taken into custody.
