Nigeria's All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially disowned a widely circulated list of successful candidates from its recent primaries, labeling it as both fake and unauthorized. The party emphasized that it has not yet released any official compilation of the primary election winners.

Mr. Felix Morka, the APC's National Publicity Secretary, issued a statement on Sunday in Abuja, urging the general public, party members, and stakeholders to disregard any publications or reports announcing the outcomes of the primaries. He stressed that successful candidates will be formally notified through the party's official channels, followed by the issuance of certificates of return according to established procedures.

Morka advised the public to rely solely on official communications emanating from the party for accurate information. This clarification comes as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its candidate upload window for the 2027 general elections, making the verification of primary results crucial.

While the APC maintains that the official list has not been made public, sources within the party confirmed that internal collation and verification processes are underway.
