Primož Roglič to leave Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe at year's end

Primož Roglič, the celebrated Slovenian cyclist, will be parting ways with the Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe team at the conclusion of the current year. Team boss Ralph Denk confirmed the news in a conversation on Substack, stating that Roglič's contract is set to expire on December 31.

Denk described the decision as purely sporting, explaining that the team needs to make space for its roster of talented young cyclists. He emphasized Roglič's professionalism, noting that the rider remains fully focused on the ongoing Vuelta a España, which he sees as a testament to his dedication and love for the sport.

While speculation about Roglič's next move has been circulating, Denk indicated that neither Team Visma | Lease a Bike nor Movistar are currently in contention for his signature. Bahrain Victorious has also reportedly been ruled out due to budget constraints. Roglič, who recently competed in the national championships, has had a notable tenure with the team, and his departure marks the end of a significant chapter in his career.
