Prince Harry to Visit UK with Family for First Time in Four Years

Prince Harry is set to visit the United Kingdom with his wife Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, in July. This trip marks the family's first return to Britain in four years since they relocated to the United States in 2020.

The primary purpose of the visit is reportedly to attend an event promoting the Invictus Games, an international sports competition for wounded or sick soldiers and war veterans. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be accompanied by their children, seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet, according to media reports.

Harry, who relinquished his royal duties in 2020, has had a strained relationship with his family since moving to California. A significant hurdle in previous years was his legal fight with the British government over security arrangements, which he stated made it unsafe to bring his family to the country. This, coupled with a public rift with his father, King Charles III, and elder brother, Prince William, has meant limited contact with his grandchildren.

While the exact security measures for the upcoming visit remain unclear, as does the possibility of a meeting between King Charles and his grandchildren, Harry has previously expressed a desire for his children to visit the country of his birth. The last time the King saw Archie and Lilibet was in 2022 during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
