Princess Märtha Louise and Shaman Durek Verrett Star in New Norwegian Series

Princess Märtha Louise of Norway and her fiancé, shaman Durek Verrett, are set to appear in the new Viaplay series "Alternative Norge," premiering this fall. The show delves into the lives of individuals within Norway's alternative spiritual scene.

Across six episodes, the series profiles a range of practitioners, including animal communicators, clairvoyants, breathwork therapists, and spiritual guides. Viaplay announced the show's lineup in a press release.

Verrett, known for his spiritual guidance, makes a bold statement in the series: "I am connected to God, and if that makes people uncomfortable... well, you are going to be very uncomfortable." His pronouncements often generate discussion and highlight the series' focus on unconventional beliefs.

Other notable participants include animal communicator Sissel Grana, clairvoyants Michael Winger and Henning Hai Lee Yang, and breathwork instructor Magnus Støre, who is the son of Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. The inclusion of Støre's son adds a layer of intrigue, connecting the alternative world with mainstream politics.
