Private company to broadcast World Cup matches in Cuautitlán Izcalli's Park of Sculptures; public can attend: municipal government

The municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mexico, announced that a private company will broadcast World Cup matches at the Parque de las Esculturas. The local government confirmed that the private entity has secured the necessary broadcasting rights for the international tournament.

Residents will be able to watch the games starting Wednesday, June 23, with the match between Mexico and Czechia. The initiative is set to launch at the Parque de las Esculturas, with potential plans to extend broadcasts to other municipal spaces for different matches of the event.

The municipal government clarified that this is not an event organized by the government itself, as they are not an official venue for the international organizer. Their role involves authorizing the use of public facilities upon request from the private applicant. The municipality will also provide institutional support, including public security, traffic control, and citizen protection, to ensure the events run smoothly and families can enjoy the games safely.

The private company is solely responsible for the transmission activities, having verified its rights to do so. This arrangement allows the community to gather and enjoy the World Cup in a public space, facilitated by local government support for safety and order.
