The executive committee of the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) met Thursday night and agreed to present a unified slate of candidates for the party's leadership, headed by President Luis Abinader. This consensus ticket will be formally submitted and approved by delegates during the party's assembly on Sunday, August 9.

He added that the process is designed to reinforce party unity, a characteristic he believes has defined the PRM over the past eight years.

José Ignacio Paliza, the current PRM president and Minister of the Presidency, echoed this sentiment, asserting that the internal process will fortify party cohesion. Roberto Fulcar clarified that the August 9 assembly will focus solely on electing the national leadership, including the president, secretary-general, vice president, and deputy secretary.
