Professor clarifies student situation and launches collection to help vulnerable students in Ayolas

A teacher in Ayolas, Paraguay, has initiated a heartwarming collection drive for shoes and coats to support economically disadvantaged students. The effort began after a misunderstanding arose regarding a student allegedly attending class barefoot. Professor Asdrúbal Vera explained that the student in question did attend school wearing shoes but removed them during recess. When asked why, the child explained the shoes were too tight. Upon inspection, Professor Vera discovered the footwear was practically without insoles. This situation prompted Vera to seek donations to provide appropriate footwear and clothing for the student. Vera stated that he regularly undertakes such charitable actions with the help of friends and through social media appeals. The educational institution serves about 90 children whose parents are experiencing financial difficulties, with some students reportedly attending classes without adequate meals at home. Vera hopes to gather at least three or four pairs of shoes and some coats, but aims to help more children if greater quantities are collected. He emphasized that the child did not attend class barefoot but removed the shoes due to discomfort.
