Prosecutor General Proposes Asep Nana Mulyana as Deputy Attorney General

Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin has put forward Asep Nana Mulyana, the current Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum), for the position of Deputy Attorney General. This proposal was formally submitted to President Prabowo Subianto via a letter on July 13, 2026, with a copy sent to the Cabinet Secretariat.

Asep Nana Mulyana has been serving as the Jampidum since 2024 and is currently also acting as the Deputy Attorney General. This nomination aims to fill the vacant seat left by the retirement of Feri Wibisono. Mulyana's career progression has seen him hold various significant positions within the prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

His extensive career includes roles such as Director General of Legislation at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, and Head of the Semarang District Prosecutor's Office. Mulyana holds a doctorate in Law from Padjadjaran University and has earned a professorship in Law from the Indonesia University of Education (UPI) Bandung. His wealth, as of December 2025, was reported at Rp 10.9 billion, primarily in land and building assets.
