Prosecutor Receives All Evidence in Febrie Adriansyah Case

Indonesia's Attorney General's Office has officially received all evidence and suspects in three significant cases that were transferred from the Indonesian National Police. The cases include allegations of corruption at state-owned insurance firm PT Asabri, the settlement of debts for a subsidiary of PT Krakatau Steel, and irregularities in coal procurement for the state electricity company PT PLN. The Attorney General's Office confirmed the receipt of evidence and suspects on Friday, July 17, 2026.

Among the key developments, former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, and a lawyer named Don Ritto have been named suspects in the PT Asabri corruption and money laundering case. Police have charged Adriansyah under articles related to corruption and money laundering, including provisions of the Corruption Eradication Law and the Money Laundering Law, as well as articles of the Criminal Code. Don Ritto faces charges under the Anti-Money Laundering Law and the Criminal Code.

No suspects have yet been named in the PT Krakatau Steel and PT PLN coal corruption cases. The evidence handed over to the Attorney General's Office by investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Special Criminal Investigation Directorate included eight suitcases, one safe, and two medium-sized containers. Some of the luggage was marked as evidence containing gold bars. The transfer of evidence has been ongoing in stages since July 11, 2026. Don Ritto was also handed over to the Attorney General's Office and is currently detained, while Febrie Adriansyah has not been detained.
