Prosecutors launch Ankara operation against 21 suspects in drug and prostitution probe

A simultaneous operation began in Ankara on 21 suspects identified in an investigation into drugs and prostitution, according to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities said they had found evidence indicating that the suspects may have committed drug trafficking, facilitating the use of narcotic or stimulant substances, drug use and prostitution. The prosecutor’s office ordered their detention, along with searches and seizures at their residences.

The operation resulted in the detention of 14 suspects. Work to capture the seven suspects still at large was continuing through a range of investigative and operational measures.
