PSG draws with Manchester United, enters Super Cup without a preseason win

Paris Saint-Germain concluded their preseason campaign with a draw against Manchester United, failing to secure a victory before the UEFA Super Cup. The French champions, who have had a limited number of matches due to their late return from vacation, previously lost 3-0 to Mallorca.

PSG started brightly, taking the lead in the second minute through Ibrahim Mbaye after a swift attacking move. However, their advantage was short-lived. Manchester United leveled the score in the 32nd minute when Bryan Mbeumo converted a chance created by Amad Diallo, who capitalized on a PSG defensive lapse.

Despite the draw, PSG coach Luis Enrique expressed optimism. "We saw good things, we started the match well, then we had normal errors at this stage of the season," he told PSG's media channels. "Everything positive, no injuries, we are already thinking about the Super Cup final."

The Parisian club will face Aston Villa, the Europa League winners, next Wednesday, August 12, to compete for the UEFA Super Cup title.
