PSG-Monaco player ratings: Hradecky heroic as Doué struggles and Paris slip again

There was no late rescue for Paris this time. Monaco won 2-1 at the Parc des Princes, extending its strong start to the Ligue 1 season and leaving Paris Saint-Germain with only two points after three matches.

The visitors relied heavily on their defense, led by goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky. He produced a superb performance and saved Monaco in the final seconds with an outstanding stop against Ousmane Dembélé. In central defense, Sadibou Sané delivered a commanding display alongside Eric Dier, who remained comfortable defending deep.

Several Monaco players improved after halftime. Flavio Nazinho became more influential on the left, while Denis Zakaria and Lamine Camara strengthened the midfield. Camara appeared unaffected by his failed move to Chelsea earlier in the week. The victory had the feel of a smash-and-grab, but Monaco’s defensive resistance kept PSG from turning pressure into a result.

Paris lacked cutting edge in attack. Désiré Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia disappointed, although Kvaratskhelia supplied the assist for Marquinhos’ goal. Maghnes Akliouche was PSG’s most effective attacking starter and produced his best performance for the club, but he could not add the finishing touch.

Fabian Ruiz recovered a large number of balls, while João Neves marked his 100th PSG appearance and contract extension with a performance below his usual level. Vitinha remained available but could not change the game. In defense, Willian Pacho played well, while Marquinhos earned a passing grade mainly because of his goal. Achraf Hakimi and Warren Zaïre-Emery struggled, with Zaïre-Emery again deployed at left-back by Luis Enrique. Matvei Safonov also carried blame for Monaco’s second goal.
