Puebla Rallies to Defeat Santos Laguna 3-2 in Goal-Filled Liga MX Clash

Puebla has shown a significant resurgence in Liga MX, securing a thrilling 3-2 victory over Santos Laguna at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc. This win follows a disappointing performance in the Leagues Cup, where Puebla managed only four points from three matches. Their current league total now stands at 10 points.

The match saw an early own goal by Puebla's Facundo Almada in the third minute, giving Santos an initial lead. However, Puebla responded quickly, with Eduardo Mustre equalizing the score.

In the second half, Ezequiel Bullaude restored Santos Laguna's advantage in the 51st minute. Yet, Puebla's resilience shone through as Mustre netted his second goal just two minutes later to level the score once again. The decisive goal came from Carlos Baltazar, who scored from outside the box to secure the win for Puebla.
