Pueblo Libre Closes Streets for Grand Civic Patriotic Parade on July 17

The district of Pueblo Libre is set to host its Grand Civic Patriotic Parade and Pasacalle on Friday, July 17, 2026, an event designed to celebrate Peru's National Holidays. To ensure the smooth execution of the festivities, the municipality has announced temporary traffic restrictions on streets and avenues surrounding General Manuel I. Vivanco Avenue, the main venue for the celebration.

The event will feature delegations from educational institutions, various organizations, and community groups, all coming together to honor Peru. The parade aims to foster national identity and unite the community through music, tradition, and patriotism. The municipality has requested the understanding of local residents regarding the temporary road closures and encouraged their participation in the patriotic jornada.

According to the map provided by the local government, the parade will span the section of General Manuel I. Vivanco Avenue from the Brazil Avenue roundabout to San Martín Avenue. Consequently, traffic restrictions will be implemented on several key intersections. These include General Manuel I. Vivanco Avenue at its intersections with Brazil Avenue; Manuel Cipriano Dulanto Avenue at its intersections with Toribio Ara Street, José Manuel Ugarteche Street, María Parado de Bellido Street, and José Santiago Wagner Street; Antonio Polo Street at similar intersections; and Jorge Chávez Street at its intersections with Agustín Gamarra, Benigno Cornejo, Carlos de los Héroes Street, and San Martín Avenue. San Martín Avenue itself will also see restrictions at its intersections with Manuel Cipriano Dulanto Avenue and General Manuel I. Vivanco Avenue.
