Puklavec Family Wines Named Slovenia's Winery of the Year 2026

Puklavec Family Wines has earned the prestigious title of Winery of the Year 2026 at the 64th international agricultural fair AGRA. This recognition highlights the winery's consistent commitment to producing high-quality wines.

The winery's success was further underscored at the 52nd national Vino Slovenija Gornja Radgona 2026 competition. There, Puklavec Family Wines secured two champion titles, three grand gold medals, and a total of 45 medals across various categories. This impressive haul demonstrates the breadth and depth of their winemaking expertise.

A standout achievement was the 1993 Laški Rizling late harvest wine. It made history by becoming the first wine ever to receive a perfect score of 100 points at the Vino Slovenija awards, earning a grand gold medal. This exceptional wine also received a platinum medal at the recent Decanter World Wine Awards, confirming its international acclaim.

According to the winery, Puklavec Family Wines was also the most successful Slovenian producer at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Other notable award winners from the Vino Slovenija competition included the Estate Selection Rumeni muškat 2025 and Jeruzalem Ormož Sec, both champions. Additionally, Chardonnay late harvest 2003 and Sauvignon 1983 received grand gold medals, alongside the historic Laški Rizling.
