Puncak Alam Hit by Flash Floods After Heavy Rain

Flash floods hit several parts of Puncak Alam, Malaysia, on Friday afternoon following approximately one hour of heavy rainfall. The deluge caused water levels to rise about 0.3 meters (one foot) on Jalan Persiaran Puncak Alam 6, submerging the road surface.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department's operations division monitored the risk in the affected area. Officials confirmed the water overflowed onto the road but stated that no residents were evacuated. The incident occurred around 3:45 PM.

Social media users documented the situation, with one Threads user, dayangd_na, sharing a video of a residential area. "Never flooded before, just an hour of heavy rain and the water rose. Felt nervous worrying about the car outside," the user posted, questioning if other Puncak Alam residents were okay.

Another user, _xmmmmmmmm, shared images of flooded conditions on Jalan Medan Puncak Alam, noting they had to make a U-turn due to submerged routes. Videos also showed water entering a car sales center on Jalan Persiaran Puncak Alam.
