Putin's message, conveyed via the Kremlin's website and reported by Russian news agencies, hinted at the possibility of the two leaders elevating relations between their countries to a new level.

"Dear Donald, I sincerely congratulate you, such an exceptional and talented personality and politician, on your 80th birthday!" Putin stated in his message. He added that he values the mutual understanding between them, which allows for open discussions on even the most complex bilateral and international issues. Putin expressed his conviction that together, they could significantly advance Russian-U.S. relations and contribute greatly to ensuring global security and stability.
