Vladimir Putin's superyacht, identified as the "Kosatka," has been relocated to the Kola Peninsula, a strategic location approximately 11 nautical miles from Norway. The move, which occurred about two weeks ago, was conducted under the military protection of two Russian warships, the "Severomorsk" and the salvage vessel "Voevoda."

The yacht embarked on its journey from the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad on June 25th. Several days later, it reappeared off the coast of Denmark, notably activating its AIS (Automatic Identification System) signal for the first time since 2022. This allowed maritime traffic to track its movements as it navigated through the Kattegat strait and proceeded up the Norwegian coast.

Throughout its voyage, the "Kosatka" was under constant surveillance. The Russian escort vessels maintained a close watch, while NATO ships and aircraft were also reportedly present, observing the yacht's passage. This heightened attention underscores the geopolitical sensitivity surrounding assets linked to Russian leadership, particularly in the current international climate.
