Qatar condemns renewed Iranian attacks on the UAE and Jordan

Qatar condemned renewed Iranian attacks on Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, calling them a dangerous escalation in the region.

In a statement carried by the Qatar News Agency, the Foreign Ministry said missiles targeted Jordan and a drone targeted the UAE. It described the attacks as serious violations of the two countries’ sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as breaches of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Doha said continued Iranian attacks could complicate efforts to reduce tensions and undermine diplomatic and political initiatives intended to restore security and stability. It called for an immediate and complete end to military actions and attacks that threaten regional security.

Qatar also urged all sides to avoid actions that could widen the conflict and called for a serious return to dialogue and negotiations. Doha reaffirmed its full solidarity with the UAE and Jordan, and said it supported measures taken by both countries to protect their sovereignty and security.
