Qatar Hosts Technical Talks Between U.S. and Iran

Qatar is facilitating ongoing technical discussions between the United States and Iran, according to a senior Qatari official. Majed al-Ansari, advisor to the Qatari prime minister and spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Doha for consultations.

These discussions with Qatari mediators and officials covered various regional matters, including the ongoing negotiations concerning Iran and Lebanon. Al-Ansari clarified that while high-level meetings between Iranian and U.S. representatives are not currently scheduled under the established framework, communication channels remain open.
